About the Authors

R. Mark Halligan is a trial lawyer and a principal in the Chicago intellectual property firm of Welsh & Katz Ltd., and teaches advanced trade secrets law and trade secret litigation at John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He is widely recognized as the country's leading expert in trade secrets law and the Economic Espionage Act of 1996.

Richard F. Weyand is the president of The Trade Secret Office, Inc., which is developing management methods and software for the automated discovery, inventory, valuation, and tracking of trade secret intellectual property. He has served as a testifying technical expert in trade secrets cases and is a computer forensic examiner.
